Laurel & Hardy

One of the cinemas most beloved comedy teams. Laurel & Hardy each entered show business early; Stan in English vaudeville and Oliver or "Babe", a gifted singer even as a child, in a minstrel show. Soon after teaming in 1926, Stan & Ollie developed the characters they would continue throughout their careers; two immature adults bumbling through life, with Ollie in charge and Stan looking up to him with childlike admiration. The dopey looking Laurel, in fact a Rhodes scholar, was the genius behind the team, but it would have never worked without Ollie.
